katakana names
Pronucation help:
Consonants are pronounced more or less the same way as in English.
-"A" sounds like a in father, but shorter.
-"E" sounds like e in met.
-"I" sounds like ee in meet, but shorter.
-"O" sounds like o in old.
-"U" sounds like oo in hook, but with less rounding of the lips.
Katakana is a way of spelling Western (our) names in Japanese, because Japanese doesn't have the some of the sounds we do. I have a chart Below. Click here for a good Translator site. I'm translating names of people I know right know. I've also got music in. Turn off your sound if you don't like it.
